Contents portion of profile pages getting hidden for some reason [closed]

I'm of course talking about when putting in headings with == blah blah ==, the headings show fine, but there's no content navigation on the page. What I'm missing?

What kind of navigation do you want, Terry?  If you put a hierarchy of headings and subheadings (you can use anywhere from 2 to 4 equal signs to control the heading levels) in a profile then there will be a table of contents automatically generated, which links to the specific headings in the profile.

The Table of Contents is created automatically for profiles with 4 or more headings. If you then want to hide it on these profiles you can type in __NOTOC__ which has two underscores front and back.

Deb, Thanks for the best answer star.
Thanks Jillaine. I guess someone deselected the first star.

You need to have at least 3 ==Headings== for a table of contents to be generated and displayed. You only had 2. I just added another (==Biography==) just so you can see what I mean.

Still not seeing the table of contents, Joe.
Okay, I added a 4th Heading, and it now shows. Guess we need at least 4?

And now it's gone again indecision

And now it’s back. I also saw it disappear... so I don’t know.

I was pretty sure this was something I had noticed in the past and that 3 was the magic number.
