When I find children listed in FidnAGrave, I put them in the Bio, rather than making profiles for them. I don't feel the source is adequate for a profile.

That usually comes from a gedcom import listing of "sources", and the manager, for whatever reason, never adds profiles for the children.

I think an additional answer here may be that the profile creator was interested only in adding his direct line and not all of the offshoots of their progeny or they added the list to the bio/sources intending to return to expand the branches later.
