I'm not on the trusted list and I've tried to contact the person who created the record.

Then you should use the Unresponsive Manager process.

He or she was last active early last month, and may have taken a break from WikiTree.  I would start the process anyway.

Thank you everyone.  I requested to join the trusted list and was granted the request, so have been able to correct the maiden name.
