So I have a wayward Barnes who married himself to a woman named Mary Avera. The possibilities of this Barnes seems open. Was he a descendant of a creek mother and a negro father originally coming from one of the Barnes Brinsley or Solomon?

Obadiah born about 1782 unknown where, death or burial supposedly Putnam, Georgia. Married approx. 1813 location unknown. Four children, two boys and two girls.

I found this link to 'A Blue Ridge Family' by Paul K. Graham a certified genealogist. There is descriptions of Barker and Barnes Families.

I have an Obadiah Barnes and a Ruth S. Barnes, but my family reflects them as Father daughter, this family has them as husband and wife.

My mom gave me my information for Ruth S. Barnes, Obadiah showed up in Family Search.
