Unknown tombstones

Question

Can anyone shed some light on this tombstones?

They are located on local cemetery in north west part of Bosnia.

Edit: DNA of the person born there shows 11% of sephardic jews. That might be connected.

Mary, no luck there. It is the moon, but the stars confuse me. one has 5 and the other has 6 edges.

a search on six pointed star over a crescent moon turned up this

The symbol on this flag represents the Biblical quote from John 3:30 - “He must increase, but I must decrease,” spoken by John the Baptist about Jesus. Here, the waning crescent moon stands for John, and the bright star stands for Jesus.

I think the writing looks like arabic, also the new moon on it's back suggests the muslim faith. Try and find someone reading arabic to have a look. Thanks for sharing these great photos.  Intrigued now  !
