Is anyone working the Wheeler family line?

Question

In trying to fix some Pre-1500 errors, I have found a number of Wheeler profiles that appear to be "myths".   I am trying to connect with anyone who is seriously working this lineage.   I do not need sources, I am not going to work this....I am trying to find someone who is working this....

The early Wheelers from Cranfield Bedfordshire are probably a work of fiction, with not a source in sight. Start off with Patty Sue Milk https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Milk-1 to get a flavour of the early Wheeler profiles. Bounty Thomas Wielher https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wielher-1 _848-900 is another good starting point.

Not only was my Paternal Grandmother a Wheeler, her parents were 1st cousins. And the branch ends at my 4th GGrandfather John Wheeler-6343.

I may need some guidance but will be glad to assist!

I'm the Profile Manager for Dorothy (Wheeler) Fish and that reference is already in the profile Michael. (1st one as a matter of fact.) I've already got one person going in and changing things without discussing them with me first. Please discuss in the comments any proposed changes you intend to make. (I'd hate for you to waste an effort to something I'm going to change as this one person has a tendency to do.)

I'm also actively working on the Wheeler One Name Study...Dorothy (Wheeler) Fish aka Smith is one of the Wheeler Profiles I manage. She is my 8th Great Aunt. I apparently got distracted and didn't get back to it, and I'd really prefer people discuss changes with me before changing things in the profiles I manage, which is what I thought we were suppose to be doing anyway. Robin, did the rules on that change?

I am aware of the rules as stated on the page, which is why I questioned the "go ahead" and fix stuff" (my rewording of what you said)...considering I'm very active and one of the profiles mentioned (as I stated in my comment above) I manage, (and is in my One Place Study), and is my 8th Great Aunt. I am in the process of working on that profile now. Just wish you would have said it the way it's stated in the link you provided me.

My house used to be owned by a Guy Wheeler in Downers Grove. We have have tracked back some family but are far away from connecting to these profiles. I have updated some of the profiles to tag the unsourced to the county Bedfordshire - which most seem to be associated with. Perhaps the Musty Dusty team will have a Bedfordshire expert in the upcoming Clean-A-thon that come across these profiles.

I connect to the Wheeler family of Cranfield, Bedfordshire through my Lawton line. One of the things I've come accross is some confusion linking this Wheeler family with the Wheeler family from Salisbury. I'ave had to disconnect some Wheeler lines from Salisbury incorrectly linked to the Wheelers from Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

Hello,

I have Wheeler ancestry, but none of the ones listed above. The Wheeler ancestors include Wheeler-376, 1904, 198, 199, 1039, 39, 1029. I will be check their dates, etc. but not for a while as I have other more serious clean-up aisles. I will keep an eye out for the ones listed above, though. Regards, Carol (Baldwin-3428)
