These are 2 sets of my 3x great grandparents I can help back from there.

Adding to Maria's response, Jane (Strong) Harron and family in the Irish census:

1901

1911

This family is Methodist - I am not sure whether that makes tracing records elsewhere more or less problematic.

There are multiple ways of spelling both Stewart and Ray so without more of a hint as to whereabouts in Donegal they lived, they will prove more of a challenge.

They are from Ballintra And Drumholm area

I cannot find any John or Eliza Stewart or Stuart in the Ballintra DED in the 1901 census. It's possible they were already dead by then - nothing looking likely in the records for Donegal or Ballyshannon on Irish Genealogy unfortunately.

Do you have any details on any of their children?

You can view the death cert for Geoge Harron on Civil Records at https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/   There are two marriages listed but unfortunately the images are not available online yet.   You can send for the certificates though.

A lot of records are held in Dublin at various places including land records. The fire at Dublin Castle destroyed a lot of the early records. 

The National Archives in Kew, London hold Army pay lists. The Millitia was a popular in Ireland despite the propaganda otherwise. You can find  misdemeanors and movements etc. I also found excise Officer records. 

Catholic records start around 1845, but you may be lucky to find earlier Anglican records if they were of that persuasion.

The West of Ireland has Viking roots with many surnames ending with 'son.

Hi - marriage of John Stewart and Eliza Jane WRAY on 6 March 1855 in the Parish ( C of I) church of Drumholm.

He 22 yrs a bachelor farmer of the parish of Donegal - father Alexander a farmer

She it looks like 10 yrs !, a spinster of Derries townland - close to Ballintra, father John a farmer,

Witnesses - William Wray |( possibly a brother, and Robert Johnston.

NB the registers of Drumholm C of I are very old - back to 1719 and up to 1873, marriages 1691 to 1869 and burials 1696 to 1873 - available at PRONI Belfast and probably at the PRO Dublin.
