I believe Peter Hume's parents were James Hume and Margaret Hood?

Hello Anonymous, Would you like to provide us with the source for your theory so that we can evaluate it against the currently recorded parentage?

I looked in Family Search.org and found Peter Hume born 1779 Northumberland, England father as  James Hume born 1751 Kelso Roxburghshire Scotland and wife Margaret Hood born 1749 Forfar, Angus, Scotland.   Scotlands People also show a James Hume born 1751.

Also, Jane Murray  born May 7, 1818 Scotland, wife of Adam Hume born 1808 has been noted as Jane Scott Murray in our family tree and on her grave stone it is  Jane S. Murray died December 7, 1890.  Adam died August 16, 1863 at Puslinch Township, Wellington, Ontario both are buried in Farnham Cemetery, Puslinch Township, Wellington,  Ontario

If you are referring to what I found on Scotlands People, noted above, it was from records.  With reference to Jane Scott Murray Hume it was gravestone and family trees.

I'm guessing you mean Peter Hume, the father of Adam. There is some evidence for that. It would be wonderful if you join us here on WikiTree to help research this and add his parents if possible!
