There  was  a  Stoner  family  in  Botetourt,  County, Virginia,Owned  The  Stoner home in  Fincastle, Va, He was a  clerk  of  the  court  in  Fincastle  Virginia.  He  wrote  a  history  of  Botetourt County,  Virginia  Quite  an  old  family in  terms  of  length  in  this  country. Where did  they  come  from  or is  that  part  of  what  you  need  to know?.

I can state with confidence that there were no Stoners in Virginia before the 1500s.
