How do I cancel MyHeritage?

I do not know how I got into MyHeritage.  I found myself in it when I had a whopping $270 debit to my little household account (causing checks to bounce!).

I need to figure out how to get out of it before the renewal comes up next spring, but nowhere on that site do I find any tab or instruction on how to opt out.  They can keep the $270 that they embezzled from me (as I would never expect to get it returned)...I just want to cancel it.  How do I do it?

Help!!

You would have had to have set it up and given a credit card.

https://www.myheritage.com/help-center#/path/Subscriptions-Payments/Site-subscriptions/ will give you the info you need.

I had never hear of MyHeritage until I got something on-line about MyHeritage DNA kit.  I bought one, using my debit card and giving all the name, address, etc. that was requested.

I never knowingly joined that site.  I figure it was one of those things where there is a check marked box off to the side that you have to un-check in order to avoid buying something that you never intended to buy.

I am normally careful to look for those sneaky boxes and uncheck them, but I apparently missed one when I bought the DNA kit and next thing I knew my small bank account got hit for $270.  I was shocked because I had paid for the DNA kit and didn't know what the additional charge was for.
The deed is done.  Thanks to all who have answered my query.

Hi EuGene,

I had a similar experience. I was able to cancel the renewal.  If you look on the top right of the gray menu bar when you login to your account, click your name, then select "my purchases". It will show you your site subscriptions there and you can navigate what to do with them from there.  Unfortunately, you won't be able to cancel what you already paid for, but you can opt out of renewal so it does not happen again.  After you cancel your subscription you won't be able to access anything you paid for so I suggest to take advantage of that access before the end date (when your subscription is supposed to renew).

To delete your account completely, go to account settings after clicking your name, and find that link at the bottom of the page.  I suggest to cancel the subscriptions first though just to be sure.
