So I have been working up the tree from Jimi Hendrix using Family Search and Geni as a guide and trying to connect him up to his ancestors profiles that are already in WikiTree.

My conclusion is that James Hendricks II profile here on WikiTree has the wrong parents selected.  I think the connection came about as a case of his parents names being correct, Daniel Hendricks and Mary Hunsucker Roland.  However that his father is a different Daniel Hendricks then he is linked too and that this Mary Hunsucker Roland is attached to the wrong person.

So the father that was selected for James Hendricks II is listed on WikiTree as Daniel "Big Dan" Hendricks.  I think that the "Big Dan" profile is okay how it is with his parents being the correct parents for him.  But that he was married to Jane Buckles not to Mary Hunsucker Roland.

I think the correct Daniel Hendricks is already in WikiTree at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hendricks-73

You can check the Geni Profile for the father of "Big Dan," who is James Hendricks  and what that tells us is that the Daniel Hendricks who was married to Priscilla Darling is the father of Daniel Hendricks who was married to Jane Jean or as it shows on WikiTree Jane Buckles.

So I am going to merge the two Mary's together, Mary Hunsucker Roland and Mary (Roland) Hendricks and have that profile connect as the wife to the Daniel Hendricks.

I am also going to update the father for James Hendricks II to the correct Daniel.

Just wanted to share what was a nice puzzle.  And of course if there are any suggestions or extra sources you can add that would be great!

Hi Erik,

I came across a will of James Hendricks which suggests a death date of August 3rd 1812 and some other information you may find pertinent. If you want a copy of it for personal record feel free to send me a private message and I will forward to you.
