Will the England Project help keep Hawley-33 from wrong parents? [closed]

Hello England Project and PGM Project leaders,

Will you please add Joseph Hawley-33 to one of the projects and protect him from having the wrong parents attached?

There are two error reports for -33 now, that are caused by father attachment. There is so much misinformation on the internet and also old genealogical books that are inaccurate.  Today I added a source from American Ancestors that was written in 1997, so that's "fairly" current.  That source says Joseph Hawley, son of Samuel Hawley, arrived near Boston in 1629.  *IF* (emphasis on the word IF) that is accurate, then -33 should be in the PGM project and protected there.  I'm not sure which project he belongs in, but I am sure he needs to be protected.

Please see my comments on -33 and also the g2g post: "Hawley Emigrants From Parwich, Derbyshire."  (don't know why I can't post the link here??)

The Great Migration Directory has been checked, and Joseph Hawley is not included.

Thank you for your attention.

The Connecticut project could also PPP him.
Thanks Anne.  Whichever project chooses to PPP him, is fine with me.  I just want him protected.
Anne, I think PGM should PP him as part of a policy for all the New England immigrants.  Frankly, the PGM project is far more active and far more protective of false English origins.

Hi Cheryl

Given that Joseph was born in England and has issues with his parentage he falls under the England Project. I have added the England template and removed the father Samuel who is also listed as his son. The PPP will be added as soon as we can. Our team will look for some evidence regarding this family in England.

If it turns out that this Joseph Hawley is a PGM then we will happily turn him over to that project.

Thanks for responding, Vivienne, and for adding Joseph Hawley-33 to the England Project.  I doubt that this profile will prove to be in the PGM project, since he is not in the Great Migration Directory and he doesn't have a sketch in Great Migration.

I appreciate your approach to these confusing profiles.. especially that you will look for some evidence in England.
Vivienne, as an immigrant to the New England colonies, the PGM project will take him and protect him.  You realize that by definition essentially all of profiles are people born in England (rarely others from Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands).  We have a particular interest in making sure the English origins of these people are correct and well documented.
