Hi All,

I stress that this is family hearsay. The link my ancestors made come from the fact that a family member joined what were to become the first settlers in a village in Nottinghamshire, England called SCROOBY. Wether or not they completed the journey to Holland  and then back to England before setting sail over the Pond is a matter of conjecture,

Was the family member female? did she marry? So many questions!

Further to the replies to my original question, for which I thank each of you, My First Clayton,(Claton, also Claiten and other derivatives) is EDWARD CLATER born26 May 1709 Bapt 1720?
