Nancy (Piercy) McDonald (abt. 1795 - aft. 1850), did she even exist?

I am looking for any information to confirm that Nancy Piercy was the wife of Hugh McDonald and/or the mother of Rebecca McDonald, whose married name was Chilton.  The sources on her page do not even mention her name.  I adopted the profile a year ago and still can't determine for certain whether this person even existed.  I'd appreciate any help in tracking down a source!  Thanks!

The William McDonald, listed in the 1850 census as the son of Hugh and Nancy, Indiana Death Certificate lists his mother's maiden name as Nancy McKeithen, born in Virginia.  There are a number of McKeehan family trees on Ancestry that claim Nancy Lauderdale, based on the marriage record, and that indicate that her mother's maiden name was Lauderdale.  It is plausible that Nancy McKeehan first married a cousin, and then Hugh McDonald.

My answer to your question then is that Nancy Lauderdale definitely existed, but was not a Piercy/Pearcy.
