Benjamin Brown his wife may have been Nancy Ambrose? But need this confirmed? Thanks
Benjamin Brown had a brother named Samuel Brown if anyone has information on him .Thanks
I've been looking for Samuel Brown from Laurens SC, and have found one with a brother, Benjamin, born about 1774, wife's name Nancy Allison. Don't know if this is the fellow you seek or not, but you can find a link to the information I found here:
https://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jones64k&id=I305

My Samuel Brown was a Baptist minister, his descendants ended up in Georgia, but his grandson indicated that he thought many of his grandfather's siblings moved to KY and Tennessee.  I have yet to prove a definite connection with the Laurens Browns, but I am hoping to find some of those Browns and see if we have any DNA connections.

If any of this sounds like the same family connections, I'd be glad to share more information with you.
Susan Lewis.  Thanks for sharing this Information it seems from Information added that his wife Nancy was Nancy Ambrose and this Benjamin has different parents listed but we may need to look all this over again

The will mentioned for Benjamin Brown is not a Will. It is an Administrators Bond.

It does not mention a Chancey or an Elizabeth. It is Nancy his wife, a Fielding Brown and Francis Allison. All three entered into bond as administrators.

Wills and Administrations of Laurens South Carolina. Volume D1. Bond page 124. Appraisement is on page 128

I found his father's will listing his children, including Benjamin.

Fielding Brown maybe another son

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Brown-79367  this is Thomas C Brown born in SC 1795 died in Louisiana could this be Clancey or Chancey mentioned in the Will of Benjamin Brown? Thanks

Fielding Brown was actually Benjamin's nephew, son of Benjamin's brother Francis Brown who also lived on Durbin Creek then moved to Rutherford, NC.
Ok thanks

I believe this Thomas C. Brown could be the son of Rev. Samuel Brown from Laurens SC who died before 1833 (brother of Benjamin Brown). Check out Laurens County SC deeds, (Book N page 24).  It lists all of Samuel Brown's heirs, being Thomas C. Brown, Samuel E. Brown, Polly T. Brown, John Brown, Silas Mercer Brown, Aaron Brown, William Brown and wife Elizabeth. I'll add the link below.

Ok you going to add him. Or did you want me to add him. It maybe a little while before I get to him. Thanks for helping
I contacted the profile manager for Samuel, but haven't  heard back from one of them yet.
If they don’t see your request soon,  I will look and if I see enough strong source I will add him.

I know a lot of time has passed since the thread started but I wanted to update it. I have gone through all of the profiles of Benjamin Brown of Durbin Creek, Laurens, SC, and children and updated them with the most current knowledge and documentation. His brothers are next.
