Jacob Deck, Rev War vet: looking for parents [closed]

According to Jacob Deck's pension application he was born in Augusta Count, Va., about 1756. The surname on the pension app is Tach/Tack. After the war, he moved to Rutherford County, N.C., and is buried at an unknown location. Ancestry has him in the 1810 in Rutherford Co. under the surname Deck.

Ancestry also has a tree which has no source to connect Jacob to the parents listed there. The marriage record of said parents is in Pennslyvania. (John Heinrich Deck and Catarina Barbara Froehlich). "Family Data Collections" on Ancestry assign Jacob to these parents with no source.

These parents have been listed as Jacob's on Internet trees from the 1990s. I've been hesitant to attach Jacob as I can find no record of the purported parents living in Augusta County, Va.

Familysearch has nearly nothing, even using the varient spellings of his surname (Tach, Tack). He is not the patriot who served from Pennsylvania (Jacob Dick).

I'm at a loss as how to continue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
