My name is Samuel Weldon and have been doing research on my family(Weldon) and my mother family(Sheppard) surnames since 1975. Actually I done a bit before that, when I talked with relatives I would ask questions and record the answers, but being in the military I was seldom around relatives except my mother and father. I have been able to trace my family surname back to 1860 in Pulaski County, AR and hit a dead end. I've traced my mother's family back to AL about 1815 but am having problems getting enough proof to claim who his parents was. Am still working on both families but am always in need of advise and help. I would like to be a member, and thank you.
