What is your opinion on creating a profile for stillborn children on Wikitree

Yes.  A profile for each child in a family give continuity to the family order.  I like the Died Young sticker mentioned below.  I did not know about that.

If they are in my family tree and all the other siblings have profiles, they get a profile.  For my cemetery free page, if they are buried there, they get a profile.  If the parents went to the trouble of making them a gravestone even if was just "baby daughter" "or "infant", they get a profile.

I made a comment in the thread Dennis W. links to in support of creating profiles for those who died shortly after birth or in infancy.  But I'm not sure whether the arguments in favor of such profiles should carry over to stillbirths or not.  For what it's worth, in the U.S. Census records for 1900 and 1910, married women were asked to report how many children they were mother of, and how many of those children were still living.  I have read that the census enumerators were instructed that stillbirths should not be included in those counts.  (I can't recall where I saw that.)  If you choose to create a profile, be aware that there may be a potential inconsistency in the available data and records that ought to be explained in mother's bio.

Dennis makes a great point.  

I guess my position has been molded around  the presence of a headstone.  If a child has a headstone (and subsequently a Find A Grave memorial) I'm inclined to create a WikiTree profile.  The child may have been stillborn but with no death record it's not certain, even if the birth and death date are the same.

I realize there's not agreement on this approach.
