Hi Shannon,

Welcome to WikiTree!  To add your DNA test results, first go to your profile page.  On the right side is a DNA section.  You should see where it says "Has Shannon taken a DNA test for genealogy?"  If you click that link it will take you to a screen where you can enter your test information.  You can choose which Ancestry DNA test you took from the drop down box.

I don't understand this at all. When I go to my test it does not give me the kind of results I need to enter. I am so confused. all it tells me on ancestry is where my ancestor came from.
Which Ancestry test did you take? If it's the $99 one the next paragraph applies. Ancestry does offer the Paternal and Maternal Lineage tests, but they haven't pushed them in a while.

For the AncestryDNA test ($99 these days, was bit higher a while back) - All you need is your Ancestry user name. If you uploaded to GEDmatch, you can add your GEDmatch ID, and if you have any information you would like to add. Some people add their ethnic/ancestry percentages or other information. This test doesn't give haplogroup, number of markers, etc. and it is the first AncestryDNA test on the drop down menu.
