Are there passenger lists for those going from New Orleans back to Europe?

This is again about my ancestor Fritz Stock. I have him in Warren County, Missouri for the 1860 census. I also have records of him in Kirchheide, Germany (near Detmold) later in the 1860s. I have him and his family emigrating to Missouri aboard the ship Dorette, arriving in New Orleans in January 1869. I see lots of sites with immigration passenger lists. But what about the reverse? How might I search passenger lists of those traveling from New Orleans back to Europe?

I just check my list at Passenger Lists and found nothing. But if he was on a British ship I did find this. 

Ships Passenger Lists to United Kingdom

All ships carrying passengers in or out of any British port were required by law to deposit an official passenger list with the relevant port authorities

The records for all these ship passengers travelling between 1890 and 1960 survives within the collection of original British Board of Trade passenger lists. The only place they can be seen is at the Public Record Office in Kew, England.

There are British inbound lists, but they are not indexed, nor microfilmed. The original inbound lists reside at Kew. These lists are not filmed, not indexed and they are not available on-line. Outbound Ships - Olive Tree
