Within 24 hours the changes you made today: https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:NetworkFeed&who=Carson-547 will be included in the updated database.  Then on Loucinda’s profile it will say you have taken an autosomal DNA test.

However that is not DNA confirmation.

Information on confirmed with DNA is at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Confirmed_with_DNA

Hi, Diane. It looks like several changes were made to Loucinda's profile early this morning, including a merge of a different profile into hers and a name change. The routine that looks at entered DNA test information and profiles along the tree runs during nightly processing. Any changes that affect those profiles regarding the "DNA Connections" hints take place at that time and will show up the following day. Look for Loucinda's profile to be updated automatically sometime September 6.

And just an FYI, the list under "DNA Connections" is truly a list of hints; think of it as a to-do list for further investigation. Since WikiTree never sees your actual DNA results, it can't do any matching. We have to do that research ourselves using tools at the testing companies and services like GEDmatch. So even when your test info appears on Loucinda's profile, it isn't confirming anything other than you've entered your test information, and that the tree shows you to be a biological descendant of Loucinda's. But that info propagates up the tree to all your 6g-grandparents and across it out to your 3rd cousins...and all your direct biological relatives in between. That way, folks have a quick and easy way to see with whom they should share DNA.
