Help please!

In researching some people who were born in the late 1700's and their birth/marriage location is Kootwijk. These record comes from Arnhem archives, however when I checked Wikipedia, it say Kootwijk is a dorp in Barneveld.  What would the correct way to put in WikiTree profile?

1) Kootwijk, Gelderland, Nederland

2) Kootwijk, Barneveld, Gelderland, Nederland

3) Something else?

I would put it as Kootwijk, Gelderland, Nederland

Since we hardly use the municipality, but the place, province and country

This is what I thought as well, but I saw some older profiles (4+ years old) that had the municipality as well and wanted confirmation.

Thank you!

Yes Heidi is right.

You can use 1. But 2 is right as well.

Before it was important to add the current "gemeente" if you added the (now old) DRP template. But the templates have changed.

We only need the birth year and the "provincie" in the DRP templates now.

That is an interresting village K. Would be a nice One Place Study Subject.

Kind regards,
