Annie White Humphries, was she a Stopford?

Our family legend states that Annie White was a Stopford who married a commoner, John Murphy (in Ireland) and was disowned by her family.  It was said she grew up in the place known today as Marlfield House.  I've always thought she was probably the chambermaid or servant working at this castle. After so many brick walls, the thought was perhaps Annie was the commoner and perhaps she married a Stopford....did she marry Stopford then John Murphy?

If any of this rings bells, please let me know........Annie and John had a daughter Madaline E. Murphy who married William Humphries, my great grandfather.

Thank you for any help,

thank you Wayne Morgan for responding...….

Madaline was born 2/8/1854 in Union County, Arkansas.  Married William 1/12/1870 in Malvern, Hot Spring County, Arkansas.  I do not know their religious preference, I do know that one of their sons (my grandfather) was Baptist.  If you need any further info, pls contact me.....I do appreciate this.
