Looking for Descendants of George Pool, born KY abt. 1805

My understanding is there are no birth records for KY about 1805. Looking for descendents of George Pool, born KY abt. 1805, died probably Macon Co, MO after 1850. Any help much appreciated.

David - I have a branch of Pools in my family but they begin in South Carolina and roll through Alabama and Louisiana on their way to Texas, where they stayed after the 1840s. Does he or his family show up in any Census for 1850?
