When and we're did George Gillard pass away?

Question

In 1881 he is living and working at South Wraxall manor house in Wiltshire. In 1891 his wife is described as a widow.

Cannot find his death for the life of me, I'm probably missing something obvious.

All the Ancestry trees say 1891 but without location or a source.
