Sarah Gaf(f)ney, daughter of Michael - may be from Ireland

I'm researching the Hardwick branch of my family and have got stuck on the Gafneys.

Robert Hardwick (Hardwick-396) married Sarah Gafney (Gafney-6) on 11 Nov 1839 in Wednesdbury, Staffs UK. Her father is listed as Michael Gafney, a miner.

The family moves back to Robert's hometown of Newhall, Derbyshire UK.

After Robert's death, Sarah goes on to marry Josiah Locker in 1873. Her father is listed as Michael Gaffney, miner, deceased.

She died of cancer in 1884.

The census returns list Sarah as coming from either Wednesbury, Newhall or Ireland. I don't know if she had any brothers or sisters.

Does anyone out there know of this family?

Robert and Sarah Hardwick were my great, great, great grandparents.  I trace down from their daughter "Catherine" who went on to marry George Adams.  I'm just beginning my research and will post if I uncover further details.
Thanks for the reply. I try to keep my Wiki-Tree up to date, so all "developments" will go on here...

Good luck with the research - the Hardwicks are an interesting bunch.
