What happened to the photo of the week project? [closed]

I tried to join some months back and the G2G join post was down.  I had thought that someone said that it was in reorganization but it is still down.

I see a lot of photo of the week posts and I have some to add.  Is the project still open to new members?

I’m with SJ here. I’ve got the badge, but have yet to see voting in action, at least according to the project page. Did I miss something?

Is there a special link that I'm not aware of?  Photo of the Week Project seems to be hidden by it's author according to "How to Join" link.

I am interested as well. I requested to join the project weeks ago, never received a badge, but also never heard anything more about it. There are several projects I have expressed interest in, but the project managers seem to be unresponsive.
