J.W. and Lela (Sherman) Donalson

Question

Joseph Warren Donalson was my husbands grandfather, I am looking for any information about either person, especially when the died and which cemetery they buried in.  My late husband's father was Don Donalson, Joseph W. Donalson;s son, my husband was adopted by his step-father when he was 12 Barton), but reunited with Don when he as in his 20's, I would appreciate any information that you can give me, I helping my my husband's son with the Donalson Family Tree,   Thank you, Janice Barton at janicebarton20@yahoo.com

Hello,  Did you ever get a response?  In your query you spell Donalson (no D) but it looks like Lela links to Donaldson...  Be sure to try Donaldson, Donelson and Donalson.

Absent getting lucky right off at WikiTree (it can happen) have you tried Find-A-Grave?

You can just search the entire country without knowing a place and sometimes, if you have an idea of place or dates, you can find links there either to Joseph W directly or Lela or Donald the son.  Do try the alternate spellings as a couple generations back that was not uncommon.  There are some Joseph W. and Lela with alternate spellings. Having an idea of a date range is a good starting point.

Keep in mind, not every grave is indexed and it changes.  I just found an elusive ancestor who got listed in September 2012 and I had searched for her in July 2012 on Find-A-Grave.  

I just added a batch of Donaldsons with more to go, but none with those names.
