I cannot find any previous marriage certificates of my father. Trying to locate my half-siblings.

Question

Surname is Armstrong. He passed away last year. I never knew him. Desperately looking for half-siblings from confirmed previous marriages, it's word of mouth, but that's all I have. They would be much older than me, probably by 20 years or more.

Worked on the Armstrong tree for months.

His name was Albert Randolph Armstrong, (went by the name Randolph)

B: Sept 25 1938, Coffee county AL.  My mother is living, but she was divorced from him. Her surname was Hilburn.

Any leads, advice or help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

(Have already contacted my first cousins from his brother's marriage. They don't know anything.)

I would contact coffee County Court House and ask how much a search for his marriages would be.  Index says Randolph Armstrong married in 1961, Coffee Co, AL but doesn't give further information.

I have done both Ancestry and Myheritage. Gedmatch too. Familytreedna upload. Nothing. Thank you for your advice.

I'm sorry, Sarah. I'm in much the same boat as you -- I reached out to biological relatives and got one hell of a cold shoulder. All I can say is, you and I both have the luxury of time. We are both fairly young and with time and patience we WILL get DNA matches as millions and millions of people continue to test and upload their kits. I don't like it when older relatives try to play "secret keeper"; with DNA, the genie is out of the bottle and I'm going to continue existing, no matter how anyone feels about it.
