Ann Burke of Urlingford Co. Kilkenny

Hi All

My Great Grandmother is Ann Burke, 1852, who married a Michael Fitzpatrick, 1845, in Urlingford Co. Kilkenny.

Her Father Martin Burke 1812 1913

Her Mother Mary Dwyer 1829 1898

Honor John and Margaret are her siblings

Just wondering if anyone has come across them. I have no idea where they originated not sure Burke is Kilkenny but of course might be. I know no Burke’s I am related to. Thanks.

Kilkenny, Ireland.   I have not research the Burke's or Fitzpatrick but Kilkenny is in Ireland. I did put his name in for marriages in FamilySearch.org but Fitzpatrick did come as getting married in 1867, 1869, and again in 1875, and 1893 and so on, but there wasn't a name of the lady on the paper. I am not sure why they don't list the lady's name like they do here in the USA but I can't find out when they married . And I did find out that a Michael Fitzpatrick died in Ireland in 1918 but whether or not this is yours I don't know. If they came to America on a ship, then we would know where they lived in America. What state, or county?  IF there is anything I can help you with, just let me know. Thank You, Nancy

Here is what I know.

Anne and Michael had their first kid Julia in 1888, and she went on to marry  a John Butler.

Katie 1889. No idea what happened to her. Patrick 1889 My Grandfather always lived in Ireland. Martin same 1893.

I would say they got married around 1887 1888 as it was customary to not be unwed.

Martin Burke had a father John Burke who married a Mary Treacy. Can’t tell you when.

No idea about her family though.
