Forum "G2G" the most recent is Sept. 17?

Then I looked down and shows a recent of 5 minutes ago.  This is confusing to me.  By looking at this it shows me most recent is Sept. 17.  This particular item I clicked on is under my Help tab "Forum G2G."  It seems one must have to get used to this set up.  I felt a little discouraged when I seen that the most recent was 8 days ago.  Almost clicked out.  For those who are new, this isn't always the case.  Sometimes assorted tags get put at the top of unrelated "tags."  Some I've found to be almost a year old.  Frustrating and annoying, but this is the way it's set up.  Now I've totally forgot my question.  It was important, just thought this topic was more important.

P.S. Limited to only 7 tags.  I don't know which one to put this under.  Admins can you pease make this simple. (no admins tag?)

Hi Paula

We don't use the Admin tag for G2G we would use "Sysops" if it something that needs the attention of the Team. However sometimes if it's something only a sysop can do it's best to email info@ For updated post you should be able to click Questions at the top of the screen. You could also try  to see the newest activity on G2G. If you categorize something wrong on G2G don't feel so bothered someone is normally not to far behind categorizing and editing tags.

Paula, it sounds as if you could be looking at a cached web page.  If you leave your browser open during the day and sometimes come back to G2G from somewhere else, try reloading the G2G web page.  You should have a selection on your browser's menu to do that, or just right click on a vacant area of the page and you should also get that menu item.  (In Firefox, for example, the reload icon looks like a three-quarter circle with an arrow on one end.)

What you are seeing is a "pinned" post (also highlighted in yellow). So yes, that particular post is a bit older, but it stays at the top of the list so everyone has a chance to see it.

Paula, in addition to what Dennis said, even when you look below any pinned posts, the first few might not be today.  The way it works is that when a question is asked it starts out at the top (below the pinned ones, of course).  Also, when a question is answered, it immediately jumps to the top of the list, so if someone just decided to answer a question that was a year or two old, that will be the top one until someone else either asks or answers a question.  Please note - adding a comment to a question or answer posted by someone else does not change the order of the listing.
