In my family tree I have Orrin's death in Hampton, Nebraska 1894. Laura's father was Orrin Orin Palmer. In 1849 Israel left his family and went to California. He was never heard from again. So as far as my tree is concerned Israel had no beginning and no end. Just a middle. He lived in Cleveland Ohio for a while. He and Laura had 8 children. Jeremy M., (my g-g-grandfather) Alonzo, Henry, Orrin, Harvey, Charles, Israel Jr., and Laura. I am researching this line of my family to be entitled to membership in the Mayflower Society. Not easy when you have a brick wall. His wife, Laura Palmer Houghton is a descendent of a Mayflower passenger.
