Where did Samuel Ernest Plowman go after 1897?

Samuel E. Plowman, born 15 Oct 1859 in London; immigrated to Quebec, Canada in May 1872; lived in St. Louis, MO between 1875-1897; worked as a carpenter and possibly married "Maggie Walsh"; no death or burial record but disappears from StL city directory by 1897. Would love to find him after 1897.

I couldn't find anything after 1897, either, but I did find what appears to be him in Ontario in 1871. Are you sure he didn't come to Canada until 1872? https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M4Q1-YTC
This is interesting, Lianne, but it must be a coincidence because my Samuel arrived in Quebec in May 1872 with his dad, brother and sister on the Royal Mail ship "Medway". Thank you for looking!
