Who are the Parents of Hannah (Jarvis) Amson?

Hannah is my great grandmother, who married my great grandfather Alfred Amson and had one son called Michael. I've been looking for her parents for a long time, but all I know is her mother's maiden name, which was King. I found a birth record which told me this, and also told me that Hannah was born 29th May 1913, in Bethnal Green, London. My grandmother told me that her maiden name was Jarvis. Any help on finding her parents would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Kearra.

Her maiden name was Jarvis, and she was born on 29th May 1913 as confirmed by the 1939 Register which shows her with Alfred. However, there were two Hannah Jarvises both registered in Q3 1913 (and none in Q2). It's not immediately clear which one is correct.

Surname   First name(s)   Mother   District   Vol   Page
Births Sep 1913
Jarvis     Hannah     King     Bethnal G.     1c    298
Jarvis     Hannah     Prior     Wallingford     2c    601

Hannah and Alfred were married in 1939 so you could order a copy of that marriage certificate which would probably determine it. Here's a link to the details FreeBMD. Because Hannah was born after 1911 there aren't going to be any censuses (well until 2021) showing her with her parents. There's an online tree giving the King one the right date of birth so let's assume it's correct for now - but someone may have applied the right date to the wrong person so it's not really confirming evidence. The same online tree gives Hannah's father as Thomas with mother unknown, both born in 1892. That's possible but I can't find any matching marriage which is strange. Again I would recommend you order the birth certificate which will give her parents. You can order copies from https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ (Free registration needed and the details you need to supply are the same as on those FreeBMD entries)

I think Hannah from Bethnal Green is more likely, as my family were from around that area. Thanks for your help.

It's possible but they are living in Holloway, North London for the 1911 census and have an infant daughter May Alice. All their birthplaces are Islington. Why would Hannah be born in Bethnal Green just two years later? That would have been a massive step downwards socially.
Good question, but the rest of the info looks like them.
