need help on a cemetery category to have it show properly in listing [closed]

Question

I created 

Category: Cimetière L'Assomption-de-la-Sainte-Vierge, L'Assomption, comté l'Assomption, Québec

which is as it should be, except that in the category listing 

Category: Québec Cimetières par Nom

it shows up under C, whereas the categories created by Guy in these show up under the correct letter for the actual cemetery name, don't know what the trick is to make it show up in correct alpha listing.

Would  you sort it under L or under A (sorry I don't know much about French language.) I know comte is county, though. :-)

You use a sort key which is the pipe followed by the letter you wish to sort into.

I sorted into L, and if that is incorrect, I will fix it.

Yes, L works fine, what exactly is the sort key pipe, and how do I do it?  Don't want to keep asking the same question.    And thank you.

in the edit box, see the parent category? [[Category: Québec Cimetières par Nom|L]]. The pipe is the "|" character and the L means it's sorted into L. You can use whatever letter you need to use and you can use words, too. It could be [[Category:Québec Cimetières par Nom|L'Assomption]].
