You appear to be correct as John Crane (originally Dorchester) and Hannah Leonard are from Bristol County, Mass, with generations moving to Worcester County etc. and and Ebenezer Crane and Mary Tolman resided generally in Norfolk, County, MA area.
However, there are ancestral files out there in 'genealogy land' that link a specific Tabitha to John and Hannah, which may have been a wrong assumption on someone's part.
Those old records are harder to find, like and some towns are missing, not transcribed yet, or are copies of transcriptions and may have errors. And the towns from the 1600's expanded, got renamed, got swallowed up, became part of an adjacent town like Berkeley, Taunton, Dighton.
Found Tabitha, dau of Ebenezer and Mary. Also found a reference to John Cranes will in which he also has a daughter Tabitha mentioned. John Crane's mother was named Tabitha so it would not be surprising if he had a dau with the same name. Never found that Tabitha's birth date.

Google book: John Crane: He made his will when residing in Dighton July 22, 1718 and it was proven February 2, 1718- 19 in which he mentions his wife Hannah; son Gershom; son John and his brother Benjamin, the son John, not being of age at that time. He also mentions two daughters Zipporah Allen and Tabitha Crane. He does not mention his son Henry evidently because of the clause which closely follows the will wherein Henry Crane of Taunton quit claimed November 1, 1716 on the estate of his father John of Dighton. This was acknowledged by Henry August 28, 1718 stating his father John was then deceased. The deed above is filed in Taunton and states that John of Dighton for love and affection deeds several tracts of land in Taunton to his son Henry November 1, 1716.
