Look art 1900 Census,Fall River Mass,,Alfred Whitehead and wife Elizabeth,

Both immigrated from Canada in1868,Both from French Canada.

Thanks for your answer. The Elizabeth I asked about was from Tiverton Rhode Island, married to George Collins til his death in 1874, married to a Whitehead for a short time and married in the 1880s to George Warren Ashley.

I would be interested to know where you got 1868 immigration date from Canada.  Would this Whitehead line have any connection to Joshua Whitehead, father of Samuel J. (b. 1860) New Hampshire and Sarah (b. 1862) Rhode Island.  Joshua’s wife was Margaret Holland I believe.

There appears to be two Whitehead family trees entering Fall River between 1845-1870.

Any information would be appreciated.
