I suggest that you start by finding your oldest Hinton forefather on WikiTree and building your family line up to your own profile. Here is a list of Hintons with the earliest birthdate, and here is a list of Hintons in alphabetical order. Do you see any of your Hintons already on the WikiTree? If so, you do not want to import a bunch of new/duplicate profiles because they will have to be merged back down to the first profile that is already here. That is a lot of extra work. If you have additional information to add to a profile that is already here, please edit the profile to include the information, pictures and your sources. This will prevent creation of duplicates and improve what we already have on the WikiTree.
After we know where your family line stops (here's the father, but he has no sons listed.) then we can work on importing a small piece of your gedcom to complete your family line. As you noted, pictures don't transfer with a gedcom, so you will need to add them by hand, one at a time through the edit screen for each profile.
I hope this helps you get started on the road to a wonderful WikiTree experience. Edited as Comic Sans came out in a tiny script. Don't know why, but was not Comic Sans.
