What can be done about a profile manager who is unresponsive? [closed]

What can be done about a profile manager who is unresponsive, hasn't been here in years, and has only 2 profiles managed? I have a profile that needs the last name at birth corrected. I'd be happy to adopt the profile.

I have the same thing! LNAB is wrong, they dropped in a profile from My Heritage  with no links or sources two years ago. Sent the manager a private message but haven't heard back.

No, you cannot change it yourself. The help index correctly states "To do this you need be on the Trusted List. This is true even for Open profiles because of the special significance of LNABs."

For a situation like this, it might be best to email info@wikitree.com and explain the situation and willingness to adopt profile.

You need to file an Unresponsive Profile Manager Request. Go to Lucinda Griffin's profile, click on "Family Tree and Tools." Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the link for "Unresponsive Profile Manager Request Form." Follow the instructions on the form. It usually takes about a week for the request to be processed and all Open profiles managed by this PM will be orphaned and available for adoption.

In my limited experience:

1 - Not all the profiles managed by the PM will be orphaned. Only the ones you complain about, which seems appropriate.

2 - WT is not always very responsive to Unresponsive Profile Manager forms. I am still waiting for action on 6 profiles I put in forms for about 6 weeks ago and have made several follow-ups to info@wikitree.com. It is a ridiculously cumbersome process if all you are trying to do is get a profile on your Watch List.
