Need help with direct paternal line ancestor’s Y chromosome descendant charts

Has anyone ever had a living Y-DNA tested individual drop off his direct paternal line ancestor’s Y chromosome descendant chart after 4 generations when there were more generations in which he should be included? I am trying to determine if this is a glitch in the system or a problem that can be corrected on my end.

As far as I can tell Luther is connected all the way back to his oldest known paternal ancestor, as his Y-DNA test appears on his own profile and all male direct line ancestors back to and including the oldest known (Duckett-2). Luther appears in the direct paternal line ancestor’s Y chromosome descendant charts only back to his 2nd great grandfather (Duckett-118).  After that Luther, his father, and all others from this branch disappear from the charts.

The privacy level is set to private with public bio and family tree. All connections are marked confident or when applicable confirmed with DNA. Luther appears in the relationship finder as the 5th great grandson of Duckett-2. What else can I check to determine what is missing  from these profiles?

Does anyone have any suggestions for things I need to check in order to get Luther connected to his other male ancestors? I would appreciate any help that is available. Thanks

The disconnect happens here:  https://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/Duckett-19/890

His son's line seems fine:  https://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/Duckett-115/890

I do not see the problem, however.  Sysops?

Thanks for the reply Kitty.  Yes, that's right, it works for (Duckett-115) and then up to his father (Duckett-118) but not for the next three generations (19, 10, and 2).

I already have the tag bugs and put it on the tech board.  Is sysops a separate tag, or do I need to do an email to the team?
I sent an email to Eowyn.  I am not sure which sysops work on the weekend, but Eowyn will refer this as necessary.  Kitty
Kitty, thanks so much for your help.

I don't see anything wrong with Luther's profile, so it probably is a bug. Thanks for reporting it.

Jamie, thank you for checking.

I noticed that you added the tag tracked bug. Is there a list or page where one can check for the status on a particular tracked bug? I tried the help pages but don't see anything that fits. It would be nice to know if there are work arounds for certain problems that have been reported with the system, or perhaps a time frame when a particular bug might be repaired.
We have an internal bug tracking software that's used by the team. The "tracked_bug" tag is mostly for me to keep track of which bug reports I've seen.

You can always contact me at jamie [at] wikitree [dot] com if you want a status update on a bug or improvement suggestion.
Thanks for the info.

Just checking to see if I am the only person who has ever had this problem.  Also to see if anyone can correct it. I would love to see a status update.

I've often seen this.  Lines just stop short where they should continue.

If you start a few generations lower, the line that stopped will continue further.  But sometimes it stops short again.
Thanks for the comment RJ,  It just doesn't make any sense to me.  So the report works when it wants to, until it doesn't anymore. Very strange.
