Peggy Poor grew up in New Orleans, became a journalist and soon moved to the New York Post. She was a WW2 correspondent in Europe. Bored with life after the war she purchased a 58 ft Schooner and adventured around the world. She was shipwrecked in 1952 in the Easter Islands, survived and sought refuge in the high desert town of Virginia City Nevada around 1954. The trail goes cold here.
