Privacy setting that list parents of resent deceased but no Bio

+9 votes
I have deceased relatives for the past 30 years that I would like to open up to others searching for possible connections. In the bio's I have their obits that mention surviving family, therefore I have to keep the record Private. It would be beneficial to have a privacy setting the displaces their name, decade born, decade died, and their parents but NOT the information ladened bio. Could the Private with Public Biography be changed to fit this need? Private with Family Tree (no bio)?

What I did on my mother-in-law's obituary was replace the names of survivors with [private], like this --

"She is survived by [private]; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren."

Like Nan, I also remove the names of the surviving family members when posting an obituary on wikitree.

On the other side, I have noticed obituaries printed on intact and when you think about it any obituary or death notice is public information as the families basically give permission for printing in newspapers which also go online for anyone to see, which then go on to and the like.  Anyone can view these as well as the photo slideshows.  Privacy is funny depending on which side you view, I guess.
I was going to do that but realized the chances of these records being update once I'm gone is very slim. At least when the profile hits 200 years and is automatically Open, the information in the obit will be useful and complete. Having a privacy level that list the deceased parents would also make it much easier to identify matches for merging with no bio to jeapodize the privacy of the living.
