What is the general thought on using and sitting Masonic records.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "using and sitting Masonic records". Using Masonic records in genealogy? Yes, it can be helpful.

Masonic records can be useful. Do keep in mind that they are secondary sources for some information but primary for others. The records can give some insight into your ancestor.
