My maternal uncles, Cyrus Donald Hall  and John Hall, were in WW2.  John Hall was a pilot over Italy and Uncle Donald was a driver and medic in Italy.  Uncle Donald sent me lots of war stories which I saved.  Uncle John showed me a picture of one of the first German planes they shot down.
