Thomas, if I'm reading you correctly, you're asking about changing a privacy level so others cannot edit a profile you manage. But I'm sure you must have read in some of the site's introductory material that this is intended to be a collaborative venture where we have a single tree with one profile per person, and other descendants are welcome to work on the profiles. So just be aware that you wouldn't win any popularity contests if you followed through with trying to prevent that. Anyone who edited a profile would, by definition, be a "Wikitree'r," so the preferred approach would be to contact those members, compare your notes and sources, and try to reach an agreement on what the correct data should be. If that fails for some reason, and you're sure your info is correct, you can always restore the profile as it was before the edits.
