Uncertain, but might these be some leads? http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.wren/327/mb.ashx ...Also, like William Penn was from County Cork, and there are Quaker leads, even to the origins of Quaker on:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Salem,_Cork
