Family group of four that I can't find ANYWHERE except Wiki Tree

+5 votes
I have been working on unconnected NZ profiles and this family group are not coming up anywhere except Wiki Tree and Ancestry family trees (which is where it came from).  The dates are obviously wrong....1940's instead of 1840's maybe.  Does anyone have any insights on the best way to connect them or get info?

Using Facebook, I found that this family is living & in the locality expected, so adopted the profiles, made them private and re-connected them with cousins.

Good move, Valerie.
Awesome, thank you.  I'm not very good using the Wiki G2G yet and don't know where to find answers to my questions on Wiki Tree.  I am getting to them through an email notification.  Does WT give a notification online for replies?
As you answered the question, you get an email if there is an answer, but not if there is a comment. To check back to your question, you need to go to your G2G profile. You'll find this under your profile ID on the top of the page menus. Then go to All Questions and you'll find the questions you asked.

According to Family Search, the dates should be in the 1900s.  Ken's father-in-law is supposedly buried here:

Doreen was previously connected to parents born in in 1905 and 1909. I think these should all be 1900's births as you suspect. They are probably her correct parents and should be reconnected and the dates adjusted.(, The names of their children also aren't really common names from the 1800's.

I agree that they look like 20C profiles and may well be living people, especially the children. There are no NZ death records and a google search shows Ken was alive in 2015 as there is a newspaper article. I would change the dates to 19.. after this discussion so at least the profiles are unlisted.
