I am searching for the correct Peck family. My great great great grandfather moved to Brooksville, Florida in 1890 and brought his family with him. Charles C. Peck, or CC as he was called was the post master here in Brooksville, FL from 1897-1913. He was born in Beloit, WI in October 1845. He served in the Civil War and worked for the postal system after the war. He named the town Wiscon and his former homesite is now a park called Peck Sink on Wiscon Road Brooksville, Florida. He moved here with his wife, Ellen Louise Hickox Peck and his two children, Harry C.Peck and Jennie Louise Peck Peterson. I have pictures of entire family and Ellen's family bible that her aunt Martha and Uncle Enos Briggs gave to her as a wedding give on Oct 13, 1870. Samuel Peck born in Milford, Ct in May 1801 died in 1892 and is buried here in Brooksville, next was Harry C. Peck who is buried in Milford, CT on July 5, 1896. Ellen died November 4, 1900, and Jennie Louise died from Malaria while in childbirth with her 7th child on August 21, 1907. Is Samuel Charles C. Peck's father or grandfather? Records of Samuel, Ellen, Charles,Harry, and Charles' second wife Lucy can be found at Brooksville Cemetery Brooksville, Florida. Jennie Louise Peck Peterson's grave is next door to my famly property at the Lykes/ Peterson cemetery in "Old Spring Hill", Brooksville, Florida. CC, Ellen and Jennie Louise Peck Peterson can be found on 1900 census here in Brooksville, FL.
