Ancestors of English Percys: not real?

Question

Unless anyone makes a stunning discovery that beats all the big name genealogists:

Percy-381 could be left as a father with most information removed in order to keep his real children connected.

I presume his wife and ancestors should all be quarantined?

Anyone see a better proposal?

I am in favor of your proposal as Percy-381 is my 28th gg grandfather and any info earlier than him is pretty sketchy. I think it is the best and possibly only fix.
