struggling to find anything (Irene Swain)

Question

I am doing the Saturday and monthly sourcing and struggling to find anything on this lady apart from her death which I have added with just the death her profile looks somewhat bare

I am thinking that she was born and married somewhere abroad

that makes a lot of sense to me … especially since her husband was born in Spain.

I think that you may be struggling because she hasn't the correct LNAB and she is married to the wrong man.

Oswald Bertie Swain married an Irene Edith Clarissa Jane Rodwell in 1825.Oswald was the son of Arthur Claude Swain.

There is  a marriage between what is transcribed  on Free BMD  as  Irene E.O,J Rodwel l and Oswald Swain  (or Reginald Cooper)  in 1925 Free BMD 

(but ancestry transcribes it as Irene ECJ)

She was born in Ipswich in 1905, the daughter of George Rodwell. (1911 Census)

Sadly, Oswald  died in action in the war and she probably died as a result of bombing

There is one Ancestry tree which includes Arthur Claude Swain, the wife is 'private'. He has a photo but obviously that isn't any indication of veracity.  He is said to have died in 1910 at  Maria's Lodge Suddie Essequibo which I had to googe, its in Guyana

I've also just found that  Oswald's mother was also an Irene. (though it would be very odd if she had the same middle names)

Oswald died in the same incident as his wife as did their 6 year old son Richard

There is a Claudia Swain,has a Family tree on Ancestry.com.

Has her name as Irene Edith Clarissa June born Hooton

She married April 24 1895,All Saints Church,New Amsterdam,Berbice,British Columbia.

As Helen says, Irene Edith Clarissa Jane Swain is a different person. However Irene Swain wife of Arthur Swain is also a real person:

Ivan Swain was born on 22 Feb 1903 so could well be Irene's son. Dorothy Swain was born on 1 Jun 1904 and is probably Ivan's wife. Diana Swain was born on 23 Feb 1933 and is probably Ivan and Dorothy's daughter.
